You can do it yourself by parting your hair down the middle, creating a french braid on each side until they hit the base of the neck, and then switching to two fishtail braids. It’s an impressive and romantic do – perfect for summer!

Dislcaimer: I cannot do this. My hair isn’t quite long enough and it is so straight it barely holds a braid. But lovin’ the look.

Rainbow Eucalyptus, is the only species of eucalyptus that grows in the northern hemisphere and is normally grown for its pulpwood, used to create white paper. But why does it look like it’s been painted? The secret behind the Rainbow Eucalyptus is that the trees shed multiple patches of bark every year, but not at the same time. As the patches are gone, the green inner bark is exposed, and as it matures it turns bluish, then orange, purple and maroon. This creates the rainbow effect.

At exhibitions, the X-rays are presented as giant stained-glass church windows. The Drink of Summer…cost of vodka + $6

Infusing vodka with blueberry and mint is well worth the minimal effort. It, when added to a squeeze of lemon on the rocks, is the Drink of Summer. It’s so delicious and easy, the hardest part is remembering it’s nearly pure vodka.

You need:

Vodka (I went big style with some Ketel)

Bag of frozen blueberries (Trader Hoes)

Handful of washed mint

Large container with lid

Normal pasta strainer

Strainer with tight weave or cheese cloth

Lemon

Costs = vodka + $6:

Bag of frozen blueberries (Trader Hoes) = <$3

Handful of washed mint = <$2

Lemon = <$1

Everything else = free or already available around the house
